Ok this is going to get me kicked off the Blue Hellsite and labeled a monster, but I don’t give a fuck, it needs to be said;

Firing James Gunn was a mistake on multiple levels, and anyone happy that it happened is being ridiculously ignorant.

It’s not ok to joke about rape, or pedophilia. Gunn’s tweets were ridiculous, and monstrous, and being jokes doesn’t make them any less so. But you know what else they were? 8 years ago. Off color or even downright heinous comments made that far in the past (with no actual offense being committed, mind you) should never under any circumstances be a firable offense, and if you think otherwise there’s something wrong with you.

That aside, let’s remember that this all started because right wing MAGA assholes were desperate for dirt on Gunn because he criticized Trump. Disney’s decision to fire Gunn does nothing but enable these people and give them silencing power they do not need.

This is maybe the most backward decision Disney has made in a while, and I’ll hear no arguments to the contrary from anyone who wants to be taken seriously.

Again, how come Lassetee gets special treatment?!
