i was watching the olympics figure skating and this idea just popped in my head: enjolras as the beautiful figure skater who dances like a snow god and grantaire as the witty radio host who is just /so gay/ for this French star

He’s won gold medal for fencing and occasionally boxes a little bit, but he’s mostly retired after an injury and now comments sports on one of France’s main channels. He’s beloved by the public because he’s a cynical piece of shit with one liners that become huge memes on the #upthebaguette tag.

People actually tune in to watch sports even though they’re not particularly fond of sporting events just to listen to him snicker and sass what’s happening. But when Enjolras is on the ice, Grantaire’s not so much sassying than he is… praising. He even shuts up during one very difficult figure because he was holding his breath and DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT TAKES TO MAKE GRANTAIRE SHUT THE HELL UP??????

(Although he probably calls Enjolras “Elsa” and “Let it Go” and sings the French version of the song when Enjolras gets on the ice, let’s be real)
