This is an honest question, not trying to start a fight or anything :3

what about Jane Eyre? (20 yr gap) Jane is 18, her dude is 37 when they meet, 

Or Emma? (16 yr gap) Emma is 20, her dude is 37

Or Sense and Sensibility? (20 yr gap I think, not sure) at the beginning of the book, Marianne is 16.5, the dude 35. if it makes you feel any better there is a long courtship.

If you don’t know the story, do you think it is weird, just looking at the numbers?

According to the times, this was not all that uncommon, but now it is less heard of. I am totally against someone dating a child of course, but I think it is good to think about this, and would love to hear your thoughts 😀

i was forced to read the first one (jane eyre) in high school and the man had a Whole Ass Other Wife he was hiding in his attic the Whole time he was tryna get with the 18 year old……like i know its besides the point but THATS your First example like dlksjfsdglfk ???? ???
