This took a few hours as well. I can still move around the circles, so if anyone spots something wrong let me know. Spoilers, obviously.
The times when Persephone either killed Ananke, or escaped, have a green effect. Easier to see this on the bigger version.
Well, it looks like Ananke really liked traveling.
Let’s break it down by continent:
Africa:
She really, really liked Egypt. Definitely one of her top vacation spots. Even after some bad experiences, she kept going back.
She never really ventured into the rest of Africa though, except for that one time she went to West Africa.
Asia:
I think Asia has the most of Ananke’s favorite vacation spots. There’s Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley, and East Asia. She never really went North though, except for that one time, but it didn’t go very well.
Europe:
She didn’t use to go to Europe that often, but she eventually gave it a chance. She liked France quite a bit, despite having some health issues there. Greece was another favorite of hers.
Oceania:
She went there once, ages ago. Surprised she didn’t go back, she seemed to have an ok time there.
The Americas:
I think this was the place she liked to go to in order to get away from any problems back home. Sadly for her, this place eventually became mainstream, but she still came by every now and then. No bad experiences here.
Alex: We here at TWATD 100% endorse this kind of bullshit. And
I’m not just saying that because myfirstsearchengine saved me from
eventually doing something like this myself. Bravo!
Tim: The Wicked + The Divine#36 finally gave us a definitive list of every damn Recurrence that has occurred since Ananke first started exploding heads, so we thought we’d take a walk through the annals of history (stop sniggering at the back!) and provide some context for what was happening at the time.
In our first batch of places and times, humanity develops urban settlements, written language and a cinema snack with an excellent profit margin. Spoilers (for real-world history, mostly) after the cut.

“MOTHERING INVENTION,” Part Five We’ll probably call this episode “In-Between Days,” just to make Jamie happy. Jamie deserves to be happy. Meanwhile, Kieron has to reread The White Goddess, as he deserves to suffer.
Aaaand… i’m late for this again. I’m starting to understand what it’s
like being on a deadline. I’m going to put it on my résumé under “skills”.
What’s new ? Well, I’ve started a ko-fi page to help me pay my basic
expenses. I encourage you to make a small donation if you can and want. I’ll
probably include the link in all my future SOTs just to remind you it exists,
as I don’t want to advertise it every two days.
Anyway, this issue came out during Women’s History month, the same week
as Women’s Rights International Day, so I thought I’d do something thematically
appropriate. Me smart. Thoughts and spoilers under the cut.
If you like supporting critics, Pom has a Ko-fi page above, and she’s been putting out some of the best writing on WicDiv, every month, for the book’s whole run. Give her money! Or clicks! Or both!
Tim: Thanks to our wonderful supporters on Patreon, we’re now putting out two pieces per issue of WicDiv. This entry from me is a little belated, but in the future we’ll aim to get them both out in the week of release. Hopefully, you can still enjoy this examination of why a certain formalist tool returned in the latest issue, and what it means for the series going forward…
