Alex: With the run of familiar faces in issue #40, I had to go back to when we last met them all – in some cases, as early as issue #3.
The final one is a bit of a swing, based more on her dialogue (and current Blake-ass-looking partner) than anything else. But, to borrow a bit of internet parlance: huge if true.

I really love Annabelle as a character. Not only is it a canon queer woman as a lead character, she’s also very explicitly canonically polyam, with her main drive being to protect her two partners, Mark and Ellenore, now that they are in danger after Annabelles embrace.
I love how kind she is, both towards Jasper, who really did not expect anything other than disgust when first meeting her (i also Really love Jasper but that’s a whole nother thing). Shes super kind and supportive with X and his mental health issues.
But Shes also eternally ready to Throw Down, fighting whoever is seen by her as doing wrong, even her own allies like Victor. She doesnt allow injustice and she wants to make the world better.
I just really like her. Thank you Erika Ishii, thanks for Annabelle
not to beat a dead horse but i just got caught up on su and. really. really????
WHAT??? THIS IS SO DUMB
theyre really tryna rewrite the whole show in two episodes huh
I’m genuinely curious why you think they are trying to rewrite the show?
i mean the whole backstory of the crystal gems was supposed to be. rising up against the authority. and because of the (redacted for spoilers) twist its kind of like. oh. they were kinda just. following the authority the whole time and that whole thing is suddenly kind of undercut, you know? it really takes the rug from underneath the shows lesson of autonomy.
