He has a good heart, dammit. Lobdell and the other DC writers are throwing all his goddamned character development down the fucking drain and it’s pissing me the fuck off.
sometimes I wonder if I’m even making a difference at all.
this never gets any easier
the gotham harbor isn’t pretty on a good night, but after that last crime scene I needed some time to clear my head. then, onto the next thing this city throws at me.
the warehouse was musty and overgrown. the good news is that the skeletal remains are too large to be human. the bad news is that I have no idea what the hell it used to be.
i’ve taken the strange beaker back to my lab for testing. so far, my books have been useless. maybe i need some sleep.
For a guy who apparently likes western superhero comics, at least enough to like Spiderman, Horikoshi seems pretty unaware of the severely uncomfortable and horrifying parallel he’s creating with this scene.
I mean I want to believe it’s intentional, and hinting at some kind of twist in Endeavor’s supposed redemption arc, but… I don’t want to get my hopes up.
decided to put these in a bit of a chronological order as i can’t help but form a story behind the scenes. it’s a storyteller’s habit. and yeah i do have an idea i would genuinely like to explore with gail simone as a crossover comic.
i don’t want to be the writer for this. but at the same time i always found diving into these things and exploring the character chemistry was the best way to get an artistic feeling for it.
this is also how i usually develop my own stories.
anyhow, while many think this is me drawing some shipping, in fact this a proof of concept for an adventure story featuring lara and diana. Gail simone at some point asked if they would kiss and i gave it some genuine thought. i am a character first kind of a writer, myself, so i contemplated this. then i decided, yes, probably.
after all, romantic subplots have been the bread and butter of adventure writing since its inception and i always liked that aspect of adventure stories.
i hope this puts some things in context from my end XD
and while
there will probably be a few more of these, there will be no nsfw pics. after all, camera pans away from indiana jones in those moments as well XD
okay… there may be a chance of a kiss… but that’s about it.
i caught up with some comics in between midterms and i love super sons so far!!! i’m so excited to read more about damian once again being the shortest out of all of his friends :^)
You are Superman, aren’t you? Lois, look, we’ve been through these hallucinations of yours before. Can’t you see what you almost did? Throwing yourself off a building 30 stories high? Can’t you see what a tragic mistake you almost made? I made a mistake? I made a mistake because I risked my life instead of yours. Lois! Don’t be insane! And don’t fall down ‘cause you’re just going to have to get up again! Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (2006)
This scene features one of the best things about Chris Reeve’s portrayal, which is that he physicalized his different choices between playing Clark and Superman. Like, look at the difference:
He could go from Rick Moranis to Chris Evans with just his posture. It’s like his glasses are weighing his entire body down. Here it is, in motion:
Acting.
This is a perfect example that proves that the Clark Kent disguise actually does work….and how it works….
