i just really love how vox machina consistently butts heads with all the crime organizations they occasionally have to do business with and meanwhile the mighty nein rolls up into the evening nip like “hey crime dad, it’s the m9, got any work for us?? we ran out of our allowance money :(”
It’s a good metaphor tho, because the situation is never going to get better if you don’t eventually pull the door. And afterwards, no matter what the damage was, you’ll have a working cabinet, whatever plates you could salvage, and a place to start putting new plates.

Ok, coming out of lurking for a moment because it hit me it goes deeper than that. He summoned the falchion – one thing. Second thing, when did we even see Fjord the straight man pranking someone before? We didn’t, it seems out of character. But it’s something Molly would 1000% do, I think the prank itself is a tribute. Or at least an unspoken advice to live a little taken to heart. :’)
