For a guy who apparently likes western superhero comics, at least enough to like Spiderman, Horikoshi seems pretty unaware of the severely uncomfortable and horrifying parallel he’s creating with this scene.
I mean I want to believe it’s intentional, and hinting at some kind of twist in Endeavor’s supposed redemption arc, but… I don’t want to get my hopes up.

de-bulked his costume, got rid of his grandpa uggs, replaced his waist-cloth-fabric with something a little more reminiscent of crimson riot’s motif
okay but todoroki’s first actual conversation with deku still is the most hilarious shit. he just pulls this one kid in class he’s never talked to before to a corner and asks him if all might secretly fucked his mom, just like that. icon.
the rage i felt when i discovered tetsu in japanese means iron was unparalleled by any other emotion i have ever experienced. no one word has ever made me go completely apeshit like that before. it feels like im a trained superkiller and google translate telling me “iron” was the activation code to transport me to japan and beat horikoshi into submission. i understand naming characters puns or whatever but if he told me “hey heres my character ironiron ironiron his quirk is iron :)” i would LITERALLY lose my entire goddamn mind and immediately start wailing on him. what the fuck
